Your local Bedford reticulation team
One call covers everything watering-related: mains reticulation, controllers, solenoids, wiring faults, and bore pumps if your property runs on groundwater.
Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Bayswater, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. Bedford is roughly 21 km from our Jandakot depot — same-week bookings are the norm, not the exception.
We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Bedford’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Pinjarra Plain clay-loams. Clay-loam soil rewards patient watering — several short soak cycles per station beat one long run, and drippers suit beds better than sprays.
Groundwater & bores. Clay and alluvium make bore yields less predictable here than on Perth's sands — worth checking local conditions before drilling. Efficiency upgrades (smart controller, rain sensor, drip zones) are the sure-thing alternative.
Rainfall — about 718mm a year. Averages about 718mm a year at the Perth Metro gauge with roughly 79% falling May-September — so the controller should step down through autumn and observe the 1 June - 31 August sprinkler switch-off.

What kind of retic work do we do in Bedford?
Between 391+ commercial maintenance visits and our residential call-outs, Bedford is one of our busiest suburbs. On the tools, that mostly means controller work, servicing & tune-ups and sprinkler & pop-up repairs.
From our Bedford job book
Two systems on one Bedford site
A Bedford site had a new controller, a new cut-in and three new solenoids installed for the back garden by another contractor — and an older system still live underneath it. Our technician located the master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) for the old system and turned it on manually, which revealed a leak in the old mainline running under the bitumen of the car park.
The wiring told the rest of the story: three solenoids were found in the front lawn, but the common wire (the shared return wire every valve uses) did not run all the way back to the controller, and none of those valves read as connected at the controller end. So the old system had live, pressurised pipework with no working control over it — the worst combination, because nothing can be shut off electrically when it starts leaking.
Capping the old mainline before it reaches the car park was our recommendation.
What we actually find in Bedford
Of our 420 Bedford jobs we read the 6 with the fullest, most recent notes — capped, and not a random sample. 5 involved mainline leaks and split poly and 3 involved failed solenoids and valve coils, against 33% and 23% across the 1,781 Perth jobs sampled the same way. Counts overlap, because one job can carry both.

What Bedford customers say
“We had Justin over a couple of times this week due to some major repairs needed for our system. Super patient and stayed for longer than was initially expected to get our system up and running again. Been using Perth Retic for a number of years and I've never been disappointed.”
