Everything you need to know about repairs, new system installs, bookings, pricing and keeping your garden waterwise in Perth.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve pulled together the questions Perth homeowners and businesses ask us most often. Can’t find what you’re after? Give our friendly team a call on (08) 6263 4644 and we’ll happily help.

Just give us a call on (08) 6263 4644 or send us an enquiry and our team will book in a technician to come out to you. Tell us what you're seeing — a leak, a station that won't turn off, a controller that's stopped working — and we'll do the rest. We service the greater Perth metro only.

More about reticulation repairs

Reticulation faults are rarely what they first look like. A symptom such as a leak or a dry patch can have several different causes, so we don't quote repairs sight-unseen — instead you simply book a repair and our technician tests, diagnoses and fixes the real problem on site. Our vehicles are fully stocked with quality parts, so 9 times out of 10 your system is repaired and back up and running on the spot.

More about reticulation repairs

Repairs are charged for the technician's time on site plus any parts used — there's no separate design or assessment fee like there is for a new system. Our technicians arrive in fully-equipped vehicles stocked with the parts needed for the majority of repairs, so they can get straight to work. In the rare case a larger, more complex repair needs a special part we have to source, we'll let you know and arrange to come back and finish the job.

Every system is different, so there's no real average — it depends on the size of your property, the complexity of the system, how difficult the installation is (multiple areas, trenching under paths or driveways) and your available water pressure. As a guide, prices range from around $3–4k up to $5–10k. We won't promise a figure until one of our technicians has been on your property to professionally assess it, after which we provide a full, detailed quote.

New system installs are quoted on site after a paid site assessment. You book a site assessment (around $250 in the greater Perth metro) and an experienced technician comes out, runs water pressure and flow tests, designs a system to suit your property and gives you a full quote for the installation. The assessment fee is fully credited towards your install if you accept the quote within 30 days.

More about new system installation

No — the site assessment is a paid service (around $250 in the greater Perth metro). It's a proper on-site visit where a technician tests your water pressure and flow and designs a system for your property, which is real work worth paying for. The good news is the fee is fully credited towards your installation if you accept our quote within 30 days, so it effectively comes off the price of the job.

The winter switch-off (1 June to 31 August) is the ideal time for new installs and big repairs. Your garden isn't relying on the system to stay alive, the industry is quieter so it's easier to get the work done and source supplies, and your system is ready to go the instant the warm weather returns in September. We take pre-bookings so you can lock in your spot well ahead of time.

More about maintenance & servicing

Yes. Perth Reticulation Experts is a Waterwise-endorsed business and every system we design is built to use only the water your garden needs — the right parts to regulate flow and pressure, and even coverage so nothing is over-watered. When we install or service a system we set your controller to run on your correct rostered watering days, times and durations in line with Water Corporation's sprinkler roster, so you stay compliant and your garden stays healthy.

WaterCorp rebates & waterwise guide

Yes — we design and install systems that run on bore water as well as mains (scheme) water, and we look after bore pumps too. The right setup depends on your water source, pressure and flow, which is exactly what our technician tests during the site assessment so the system is matched to your supply.

Automated controllers are our standard, and the level of automation is up to you. We can fit a reliable standard controller set to run at fixed days and times, or install the latest WiFi controllers so you can run and monitor your system from your phone. Just let us know your preference and we'll build a system to suit.

More about controllers & WiFi setup

Not necessarily. As long as there are no dogs on the property, access is left open, and our technician can reach the water main and controller, the work can be done without you there. Whatever notes you give us over the phone when booking are plenty for our team to assess, identify the issue and get it sorted.

We source all our parts from specialised irrigation suppliers and trusted reticulation brands — not the hardware-store shelf. Quality parts may add a little to the upfront cost, but they perform better and last far longer, which is better value over the life of your system. It also means your installation warranty is backed by parts that are built to last.

More about new system installation

Yes. Perth Reticulation Experts is a Waterwise-endorsed business and a member of Irrigation Australia, with experienced, fully-equipped technicians. We provide a full warranty on all our work — and because we use quality parts and aren't going anywhere, that warranty is one you can actually rely on.

About Perth Reticulation Experts

We service the greater Perth metro. Our base is at 9/29 Biscayne Way, Jandakot WA, and our technicians cover the greater Perth metropolitan area. Not sure whether you're in our area? Just ask when you get in touch and we'll let you know.

Get in touch

Yes — whether your system has 4 stations or 100, we install, repair, service and maintain both residential and commercial systems. If you have a larger property, let us know when you book so we can send out two technicians and make the job more efficient and cost-effective for you.

More about commercial reticulation

Yes — we supply, install, repair and program reticulation controllers, from reliable standard timers to WiFi and smart weather-based models you can run from your phone. We set every controller to your correct Water Corporation watering roster so your garden gets what it needs and you stay compliant.

More about controllers & WiFi setup

Yes. We carry out one-off services and ongoing maintenance — annual health checks, spring start-ups and winter switch-offs, plus leak and coverage checks that catch small faults before they become expensive repairs. Servicing is charged for the technician's time plus any parts.

More about maintenance & servicing

Yes — if your bore's flow has dropped or you're seeing iron staining, we offer bore cleaning including iron-bacteria treatment and air-developing to restore flow. It starts with a bore investigation so we can see exactly what's going on before recommending the right treatment.

More about bore cleaning

Yes. We don't drill new bores, but we supply, install and replace the pump on your existing bore — sized correctly to your system and water source — and connect it back to your reticulation. We work on submersible and pressure pumps across the greater Perth metro.

More about bore pump installation

Water Corporation runs the Waterwise program and from time to time offers rebates and incentives for efficient irrigation — these change, so always check Water Corporation's current waterwise offers. As a Waterwise-endorsed business, we design and program systems that meet waterwise standards, which is what any rebate program looks for.

Our Water Corporation rebate & waterwise guide

Yes — we offer turf and reticulation packages for new homes, renovations and developments, so the watering system and the lawn are handled by one team. We're upfront about what we deliver in-house versus where we work alongside a landscaper for larger scopes.

More about landscaping & turf

Yes — builders and developers are a core part of our work. We provide reliable subcontract reticulation (and landscaping) with repeat-volume capacity, waterwise compliant systems, and trade accounts and purchase orders. Get in touch to set up an account or discuss a project.
