Sand over limestone: what it means for your retic
Soil — Spearwood sands. Yellow Spearwood sand over limestone drains freely, so splitting your watering-day run into two shorter cycles, with a wetting agent, beats one long soak. The shallow limestone also makes trenching for repairs harder than it looks.
Groundwater & bores. This is favourable ground for garden bores — sand all the way to the water table in most streets. Bore-fed retic avoids scheme water charges, though the same 2-day roster and winter switch-off govern when it can run.
Rainfall — about 727mm a year. Local average is ~727mm a year, about 78% of it in the May-September wet season (Swanbourne) — reprogram seasonally and switch sprinklers off for the mandatory June-August ban.

Fixing coverage rather than adding sprinklers in Attadale
An Attadale owner's complaint was coverage — sprinklers not working, and areas not being reached. The instinct in that situation is to add more heads, which usually makes it worse by spreading the available pressure thinner.
Our technician went the other way. Six nozzles were replaced with MP Rotators, three sprinklers were replaced and four capped off altogether where they were watering areas that did not need it, and a gear drive (a rotating sprinkler for larger areas) sprinkler was replaced with a pop-up.
Removing heads that are not earning their place returns pressure and flow to the ones that are, and matched rotator nozzles distribute far more evenly across an area than a mix of older sprays. The system was tested front and back and the heads adjusted.
Better coverage often comes from fewer, better-matched sprinklers rather than more of them.

Local reticulation questions
Yes, as part of a permissible verge treatment. Attadale is in the City of Melville. Irrigation in the verge must be designed to minimise spray onto any road or footpath.
