Tracking down the station 4 valve in Myaree
A Myaree system needed the station 4 solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) replaced, and the first job was finding it. Tracking a valve electronically means putting a signal onto its wire at the controller and following that signal across the property to where the wire ends — which is the valve.
It works well when the wiring is intact, and it is the difference between a targeted excavation and digging exploratory holes across a garden. Our technician located and replaced the valve, made minor repairs to blocked and broken sprinklers, and checked and programmed the controller.
The honest caveat applies here as everywhere: dealing with the visibly blocked and broken heads on the day does not mean the system will stay faultless, only that what could be seen and tested has been put right.
