A missing pop-up behind blocked Ascot nozzles
An Ascot property had blocked nozzles, and the cause was a pop-up that had come out of the ground entirely. With a head removed, the line is open to soil and debris every time the station runs, and that material travels along and blocks the nozzles downstream.
Our technician replaced the affected nozzles and repositioned the pop-up. Separately, there was a leak in the paving beside the decking, and the master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) and the station 3 solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) were both replaced — the latter to restore proper pressure to the remaining stations, since a valve that does not seat cleanly bleeds away what the others need.
It is worth reporting a missing or dislodged head promptly rather than waiting for the next service: while it is still only one head it is the smallest fault on the system.
