Retrofitting reticulation under Subiaco paving
A Subiaco strata common area needed reticulation run to planter pots that had no water to them, and the route ran under existing paving. Our team lifted the paving, cut grooves to take the new pipework and the new drain system, installed the reticulation to the relocated pot positions, then relaid the paving over the top.
The pots themselves were moved to new locations as requested, and four new grevilleas planted to replace dead shrubs in the large square planter. Retrofitting irrigation into a finished, paved common area is a different job from installing it in open ground: the cost sits in lifting and reinstating the surface, not in the pipe.
Planning the route so it crosses the fewest paved areas is where the money is saved, and it has to be done before the first paver comes up.
