A new controller for a Southern River system
A Southern River property had a new six-station controller installed and programmed, and its micro sprays replaced. Sizing a controller to the system is worth a moment's thought at replacement time.
A unit with more stations than the property needs costs more and adds terminals that stay empty; one with too few forces two areas onto a single station and a single run time, which is how gardens and lawns end up sharing a schedule that suits neither. Six stations matched what this system runs.
Programming it is the step that turns hardware into a working system: a controller straight out of the box carries a default schedule with no relationship to the property it has been fitted to, and leaving it there is the most common reason a newly installed controller appears not to work.
Resetting an over-watering controller in Southern River
This Southern River home was booked in March 2026 for a leak check, with an excessive water bill behind the call. Our technician did find a leak: a sprinkler had popped off its nipple and was screwed back on properly. In our technician's view, though, that leak probably accounted for only a small part of the water being used.
