Consolidating two Forrestdale controllers into one
A Forrestdale commercial site had two controllers — one at the front and a second at the rear — and the system was not operating, with broken wires and one faulty controller between them. Our technician located most of the solenoid valves (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) and tracked the wiring to establish what was actually connected to what.
The solution was consolidation rather than replacement: the working controller from the front was relocated to the rear position to take over from the faulty one, new solenoid wires installed, and the wiring reconfigured so the whole system now runs from a single controller. Sprinkler repairs followed, along with flushing blocked pipes and replacing sections of pipework, until all five stations operated correctly.
Two controllers on one site is usually the result of an extension done in isolation, and it doubles the number of places a fault can hide.
