Sand over limestone: what it means for your retic
Soil — Spearwood sands. Spearwood-belt sand sheds water quickly past roots; wetting agents and short repeat cycles keep gardens even. Limestone near the surface calls for experience when digging in new lines.
Groundwater & bores. Groundwater under this part of the coastal plain is generally accessible, so a garden bore (new or revived) is a practical way to water without paying scheme rates. Water Corporation's roster and winter sprinkler ban still apply to bores.
Rainfall — about 672mm a year. Local average is ~672mm a year, about 77% of it in the May-September wet season (Pearce Raaf) — reprogram seasonally and switch sprinklers off for the mandatory June-August ban.

Local reticulation questions
Yes, but get the City's approval first. Mindarie is in the City of Wanneroo. Irrigation pipes and connections shall be laid beneath the nature strip between 150mm and 300mm deep.
Generally yes — Mindarie sits over accessible groundwater, which is why garden bores are common here. That said, two neighbouring blocks can differ on yield and iron content, so it's an assessment rather than a given. Bores, pumps and bore-fed retic are all work we do.
Mindarie sits on Spearwood sands. Water moves through it fast, and the sand can turn water-repellent once it dries out. Your technician confirms the profile on site before programming anything — Mindarie blocks vary street to street.
Water Corporation sets Mindarie's sprinkler days: check yours with your street number and postcode. In Perth and Mandurah that's two days a week, once before 9am or after 6pm, bores included; elsewhere the roster can differ. The winter switch-off runs from 1 June to 31 August. After it, the Bureau of Meteorology's RAAF Pearce station averages about 67 mm of rain in September and 37 mm in October, a little drier than central Perth's 80 mm.
A controller repair isn't quoted: book the visit and it's diagnosed and fixed on site. An upgrade, say to Wi-Fi, can be quoted without a visit: tell us if your controller is hardwired or plugs into a power point (a photo helps). If it needs an electrician, we arrange one.
