Sand over limestone: what it means for your retic
Soil — Spearwood sands. Sand over limestone drains rapidly and can turn water-repellent in summer — a wetting agent, plus splitting the run into two shorter cycles inside the same watering window (both before 9am, or both after 6pm), is the standard fix in this belt.
Groundwater & bores. Shallow sandy geology means bores in this area usually deliver reliable garden water; pairing one with well-tuned reticulation keeps large lawns affordable. The 2-day roster and winter ban apply to bore watering too.

When repairing costs more than replacing, in Jindalee
A Jindalee job involved drip line across two areas, north and south, and it turned into a decision about where to stop repairing. On the north side the damage was extensive enough that a new section was laid rather than repaired — our technicians found that each leak fixed simply revealed another, which is the classic signal that a run has reached the end of its life.
Repairs on the south side were completed, with some items still to check. The judgement here is worth making explicitly on any ageing system: when the cost of chasing successive leaks along a line approaches the cost of replacing the line, replacement is the better value, and it comes with a system that works rather than one that keeps coming back.

Local reticulation questions
Yes, but get the City's approval first. Jindalee is in the City of Wanneroo. Irrigation pipes and connections shall be laid beneath the nature strip between 150mm and 300mm deep. Watering days are a separate matter — those come from Water Corporation, not the council.
