Putting a Kelmscott verge back into service
A Kelmscott property had a verge with no working reticulation — there was poly pipe running from a tap timer, but it was not watering anything. Our technician trenched along the front of the house, connected to the existing poly and laid new pipe with pop-ups and 15-foot nozzles, then tested it.
The verge now has a working system. Two problems remain on the wider system and were reported rather than glossed over.
There is a very large leak that appears when the master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) is turned on, and its exact location could not be pinned down on the visit. And the controller wiring has been pulled out and mismatched to the point that a multimeter shows no readings on any wire.
Restoring that means re-establishing the wiring from the controller out, not repairing a break.
