A Guildford rear yard back in service
A Guildford property had the rear yard reticulation out altogether, with broken sprinklers reported alongside it. Our technician located and tested the controller first, to establish whether the system was being driven correctly, then worked through what testing revealed: damaged risers (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on), faulty sprays, and leaks in both the poly pipe and its fittings.
Fittings are worth calling out separately from pipe. A leak at a fitting is often a joint that has loosened or a barb that has split rather than a failure of the pipe itself, and replacing the fitting with new pipe either side is a more durable repair than trying to re-secure the old one.
Risers and micro sprays were replaced, the poly repaired with new pipe and fittings, and every station tested afterwards to confirm correct operation.
