A Hilbert property was revisited after a reported defect: sprinklers not popping up, water coming from the ground, and the rear reticulation not working. On inspection our technician found a broken domestic pop-up in the front lawn and two nozzles blocked with debris.
The broken head was replaced, the blocked nozzles cleared, and the spray patterns on the affected sprinklers adjusted to restore correct coverage. The combination is worth noting, because the two faults are related.
A broken head is an open outlet that lets soil and sand into the line while the system is running, and that debris travels to the next nozzles along and blocks them. Fixing the break without clearing the nozzles leaves the coverage problem in place; clearing the nozzles without fixing the break means they block again.
