The Duncraig leak we didn't repair
A Duncraig property had leaks on two separate stations. Our technician repaired both of the ones on station 1 — a leak in the poly in a garden bed, and a second in the poly running under paving — along with nozzles, pop-ups and risers (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on) around the system, then set both controllers and adjusted their run times.
The third leak, on station 3, was left. It sits in a small retained garden bed occupied by a very large tree, and reaching the pipe would mean removing that tree.
The leak is minor. Weighing a mature tree against a small ongoing water loss is the owner's decision to make, not ours, so we reported it with the trade-off stated plainly rather than presenting removal as a necessary repair.
