Your local Cannington reticulation team

Every visit is backed by a full warranty, Waterwise endorsement and Irrigation Australia membership — and a review record no other Perth retic business matches.

Verge and streetscape watering rules sit with the City of Canning — worth checking before verge retic work, and we can advise on what your council allows. Free-draining yellow sand with limestone often close beneath — great drainage, poor moisture holding. Frequent light watering suits it, and retic trenching can hit caprock. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else. Local average is ~775mm a year, about 79% of it in the May-September wet season (Gosnells City) — reprogram seasonally and switch sprinklers off for the mandatory June-August ban. Our depot in Jandakot puts Cannington about 12 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.

We’re Waterwise-endorsed and Irrigation Australia members, every job is backed by a full warranty, and we’re Perth’s most-reviewed retic specialist (rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews).

What does Cannington’s soil and water mean for your retic?

Soil — Spearwood sands. Spearwood-belt sand sheds water quickly past roots; wetting agents and short repeat cycles keep gardens even. Limestone near the surface calls for experience when digging in new lines.

Groundwater & bores. This suburb sits on Perth's sandy coastal plain over the superficial aquifer, where garden bores are common and generally productive. Bore water isn't metered like scheme supply, so a serviced bore slashes the cost of keeping gardens green — the standard 2-day roster and June-August sprinkler switch-off still apply.

Rainfall — about 775mm a year. Expect ~775mm annually per the Gosnells City gauge, heavily winter-weighted (~79% May-Sep): summer is effectively rain-free, so summer run times carry the garden.

"Tom and Justin did a great job installing new reticulation for my yard. It was a large area so two days worth of work. They were both friendly, installed the works with due care and went through everything in detail whenever I had questions as well as at handover at the end. Happy with the results. Highly recommended."

"I'm very happy with the results. I had a bad sprinkler leak where the main pipe connected to my solenoid valve, but Perth Reticulation Experts were able to come out and fix it with ease. Since mine wasn't an urgent job (as I could prevent the leak by keeping my sprinklers turned off), there was a bit of delay in being able to send somebody out, approximately 2.5 weeks. But when the guys did come out to repair it, they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and worked really quickly. They even serviced my other sprinklers in my garden to improve their performance, replacing a few broken heads and improving the range of others. When I had questions about smart sprinkler controllers, they were more than happy to give me advice and expert opinions. And to top it all off, when the invoice arrived, it was very reasonable for the work which was done. I'll definitely be using Perth Reticulation Experts again if I have further sprinkler issues in the future."

Reticulation Cannington FAQs

Generally yes — Cannington sits over accessible groundwater, which is why garden bores are common here. Bore water isn't metered like scheme water, so a bore can dramatically cut the running cost of keeping lawns and gardens alive. We install, service and repair bores and pumps; ask us whether your block is a good candidate. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else.

Bore pump repairs & servicing

Free-draining yellow sand with limestone often close beneath — great drainage, poor moisture holding. Frequent light watering suits it, and retic trenching can hit caprock. We factor this into zoning, run times and sprinkler selection on every Cannington job — it's the difference between a green lawn and a water bill.

Servicing & system tune-ups

The Water Corporation roster applies across Cannington like the rest of Perth — two watering days a week based on your address (bores included, since the 2022 roster change), and the winter sprinkler switch-off runs June through August. We set every controller we touch to the correct roster before we leave.
