Pop-ups not standing tall enough in Bushmead
A Bushmead site had a problem on its front and verge lawn stations that is easy to overlook: the pop-ups were not standing tall enough. A head that only rises part way sprays into the surrounding grass rather than over it, so the water goes into a small circle around the head and the rest of the area gets nothing — while the head appears, to anyone glancing at it, to be working.
Our technician replaced and raised the pop-ups and replaced blocked nozzles across both stations. Every exposed wiring join was remade with proper connectors rather than left as found.
The controller was reprogrammed because it was carrying multiple programs and start times, which is how a system ends up watering more often than anyone intended without anybody changing anything.
