Wiring wrong at both ends in Burswood
A Burswood system had no voltage reaching the solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) at all. Our technician tracked the wiring and found it was wrong in two places — miswired at the controller, and again at a junction out in the garden beside a frangipani.
Both had to be corrected before the station could work, which is a reminder that a wiring fault is not always a break: wires landed on the wrong terminals read as a dead station just as convincingly. The stations were rewired at the controller, the junction remade and a valve box installed over the connections so they are protected and accessible.
The station solenoid was replaced and tested working. The master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) was also found faulty, which was explained to the owner and replaced with their approval before any work went ahead.
