Replacing a full valve set on a Perth city site
A prominent site in central Perth needed its valves dealt with as a set rather than one at a time. Our technician electronically located every valve on the system first — on a site with lawn, garden beds and street-facing planting, valve positions are rarely recorded, and locating them is the difference between a planned job and a day of digging.
The master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off), sitting beside the water meter near the controller, was stuck open and was replaced. The station valves feeding the front lawn rotators, the lawn area and the corner garden beds were then located and replaced in turn, including one running off the bore line.
Doing all of them in a single visit, once the locating work is already done, costs far less than four separate callouts as each valve fails in its own time.
