Retiring the parts of an Applecross system that aren't needed
An Applecross system was serviced with as much attention to what could be removed as to what needed replacing. Three micro sprays and a micro riser (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on) were replaced, and a leak in the poly repaired.

Capping redundant lines is worth doing rather than leaving them live. Every emitter still connected draws pressure and water whether or not anything there needs it, so retiring the parts of a system that no longer serve a purpose gives the remaining stations more to work with.
The controller was then programmed correctly.
