Nine stations and four unwired valves in South Lake
A South Lake system was checked across all nine stations. Blocked and incorrectly specified rotators were replaced, two sprinklers brought up to the correct height, and risers in the garden beds raised to clear the planting and give proper coverage.
The interesting finding was at the controller: four active valve wires are not connected to anything. Two verge sprinklers were capped where the valve wiring appears to have been disconnected at some point, leaving heads plumbed in but unable to be switched.
Our recommendation was to locate all twelve station valves and install a master solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) — a system with unmapped valves and no master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) has no way to stop water in a mechanical failure. That recommendation is the owner's to take up, and we would rather set it out than leave the gap unmentioned.
