Coastal dune sand: fast drainage and your sprinklers
Soil — Quindalup coastal sands. Water races through Quindalup dune sand, so one long soak runs straight past the roots — two short cycles on the same watering day, plus soil wetters, are the proven local approach.
Groundwater & bores. This is favourable ground for garden bores — sand all the way to the water table in most streets. Bore-fed retic avoids scheme water charges, though the same 2-day roster and winter switch-off govern when it can run.

Missing emitters across a Secret Harbour system
A Secret Harbour system was tested across six stations, and the pattern in the fault list is worth noting: as many components were missing as were broken. Two nozzles and two micro sprays were simply absent, along with a broken pressure-compensating stake, two faulty sprinklers, a broken sprinkler and a blocked nozzle.
A leak in the poly was also repaired. Missing emitters are worse than broken ones.
A broken head still restricts flow to some degree; an empty fitting is a fully open outlet that dumps water at the maximum the line can supply, starving everything downstream on that station. If part of a garden has quietly stopped performing, it is worth walking the beds while a station runs and counting what should be there — the fault is often a gap rather than a failure.

Local reticulation questions
Yes for lawn and garden; other materials need a written application. Secret Harbour is in the City of Rockingham. Acceptable materials are allowed to cover 50% of the verge or 10m2, whichever is the greater.
