A redundant Mount Claremont station that was still live
A Mount Claremont system was tested and the rotary nozzles on the front verge were found blocked across the whole station, with more blocked inside the front lawn. Blockages at that scale point to debris in the line rather than individual failures.
The bigger find came from locating the valves: there was a redundant station still wired live at the controller, which had been flooding the side garden beds. It was capped.
A station nobody uses, still receiving a signal and still opening, will keep watering an area nobody is watching — which is how a garden bed ends up waterlogged with no apparent cause. Our technician excavated every valve, rewired them with gel caps and rehoused them in spotter boxes set just under the surface, so the next visit starts with the valves already accessible.
