Your local Midland reticulation team
That program work is the backbone of our time in Midland: systems tested station by station, valves and wiring repaired, sprinklers renewed, controllers set to the roster — with local residential repair bookings slotting into the same runs. On Midland's heavier soils the wins come from getting the system right: sound valves, sound wiring, and a controller programmed for fewer, deeper waterings rather than sandy-suburb frequency. Repairs are booked, not quoted over the phone — we diagnose on site and fix what's fixable on the day.
Verge and streetscape watering rules sit with the City of Swan — worth checking before verge retic work, and we can advise on what your council allows. Heavier soils here hold water between cycles, so the win is scheduling: fewer, deeper, staged waterings and hydrozoned stations rather than sand-style frequency. Groundwater access is patchy on this heavier ground; neighbours' bore experience is a useful guide and a proper assessment settles it. Otherwise, efficient scheduling and weather-based control keep scheme watering lean. About 755mm a year (Perth Airport M.O.), with ~79% arriving May-September — a smart controller with seasonal adjust handles the swing, and winter watering is largely unnecessary even before the ban. Our depot in Jandakot puts Midland about 28 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.
We’re Waterwise-endorsed and Irrigation Australia members, every job is backed by a full warranty, and we’re Perth’s most-reviewed retic specialist (rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews).

What does Midland’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Pinjarra Plain clay-loams. Heavier alluvial clay-loams that take water slowly and can waterlog in winter — cycle-and-soak programming stops runoff, and hydrozoning suits mixed lawn-and-bed gardens.
Groundwater & bores. Clay and alluvium make bore yields less predictable here than on Perth's sands — worth checking local conditions before drilling. Efficiency upgrades (smart controller, rain sensor, drip zones) are the sure-thing alternative.
Rainfall — about 755mm a year. Annual rain near 755mm and strongly seasonal (~79% May-Sep at Perth Airport M.O.); the practical schedule is full summer duty, tapering shoulder seasons, sprinklers off 1 June - 31 August.

Customer stories from Midland
The mainline the fencing crew cut through
A Midland repair came in after fencing contractors had trenched along the boundary — straight through the mainline just after the master valve, and through the control wiring with it. We ran a new 12-metre section of mainline and 20 metres of five-core cable, dropped it all in and reinstated the ground.
Then the proper test. Both stations were running low pressure towards the ends of their runs — the laterals are 13mm, and we recorded a recommendation to upsize to 19mm rather than pretend the symptom away. We replaced every broken and poorly performing micro jet, staked the 4mm risers that needed support, fitted a fresh backup battery and reprogrammed the controller.
One more detail worth copying: the back lawn was about to be paved, and a 20mm feed runs right beside the future paving edge. The client asked us to record its position — so before the pavers arrive, the exact line is on file. That's the difference between a note in a job record and a jackhammer in six months.

And week in, week out
Most of our Midland hours are steady program work: 400+ maintenance visits under commercial facilities and housing maintenance programs. Systems tested station by station, solenoids located and replaced, leaks repaired, nozzles and sprinklers renewed, controllers set and reset. It's unglamorous, and it's exactly why a one-off repair booking in Midland gets a technician who already knows this suburb's soils and systems inside out.

"My retics is an old system installed unconventionally. It took Chris a lot of effort to locate the failed solinoid (which was burried underground!) and fix it. Chris is very friendly and professional. The charging system of the company is fair and reasonable. I will certainly seek help from this company in future. Tony, South Perth."
