Your local Innaloo reticulation team
Innaloo's systems are old souls: established blocks on fast-draining yellow sand over limestone, with retic that's been patched, extended and re-wired by every owner since it went in. Our technicians spend as much time tracing wiring and locating buried valves here as they do swapping sprinklers — and 396 completed jobs in the last two years keep that street-level knowledge fresh. Repairs are booked, not quoted over the phone — most Innaloo faults only reveal themselves once the system is tested under pressure.
Verge and streetscape watering rules sit with the City of Stirling — worth checking before verge retic work, and we can advise on what your council allows. Free-draining yellow sand with limestone often close beneath — great drainage, poor moisture holding. Frequent light watering suits it, and retic trenching can hit caprock. Domestic bores perform well across this sand-plain suburb, and an older bore is often worth servicing rather than abandoning. Bore watering follows the standard 2-day roster and the June-August sprinkler switch-off. Expect ~718mm annually per the Perth Metro gauge, heavily winter-weighted (~79% May-Sep): summer is effectively rain-free, so summer run times carry the garden. Our depot in Jandakot puts Innaloo about 24 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.
We’re Waterwise-endorsed and Irrigation Australia members, every job is backed by a full warranty, and we’re Perth’s most-reviewed retic specialist (rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews).

What does Innaloo’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Spearwood sands. Spearwood-belt sand sheds water quickly past roots; wetting agents and short repeat cycles keep gardens even. Limestone near the surface calls for experience when digging in new lines.
Groundwater & bores. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else.
Rainfall — about 718mm a year. About 718mm a year (Perth Metro), with ~79% arriving May-September — a smart controller with seasonal adjust handles the swing, and winter watering is largely unnecessary even before the ban.

Customer stories from Innaloo
The controller wired into speaker cable
This one arrived through a housing maintenance program as a straightforward inspect-and-report. At the controller, the common wire had been pulled out and joined to a length of speaker cable running off into the electrical box cavity — and the wiring at the controller didn't match the wiring at the dropout at all.
Digging down to the solenoids explained the rest: the wiring at the master valve and the valve manifold had disintegrated. We traced every run, stripped out the excess and improvised connections, reinstated the joins that mattered and rehoused the lot. Then the system was tested and the sprinklers adjusted — decades of quick fixes unwound in a single visit.

Pulling the bore pump at the unit complex
At an Innaloo unit complex under a housing maintenance program, the bore pump had failed — and damaged the pump relay on its way out. The job ran end to end: pull the old pump from the bore, install the new one, have the damaged relay repaired so the controller could switch the bore safely again, then test the whole system under power.
Pump swapped, relay repaired, shared grounds watering again — the kind of bore-and-retic job we handle as one trade visit instead of three.

"Water spraying everywhere"
The call described a burst in the garden system, water spraying everywhere and flooding the garden. On site, we found the leak about a metre from the valve box in the lawn — exposed the area and found not one but two splits in the poly pipe. Both repaired, nozzles replaced across the lawn and garden-bed stations, the controller plugged back in and the clock set.
One more thing worth saying out loud: the far corner of the lawn appeared to have no pop-up at all — no sign one had ever been installed. Rather than let a browning corner become the next mystery call-out, we noted it and recommended adding a sprinkler there for full coverage. That kind of note is the difference between a quick patch and a repair you can trust.
