Your local Doubleview reticulation team
That program work means a PRE crew is in or near Doubleview most weeks, servicing systems on quick-draining yellow sand where limestone sits close beneath and valve boxes vanish into lawns. 281 of those jobs landed in the last two years alone — this is a suburb we maintain, not just visit. For homeowners, the same crews handle dead stations, leaks and controller faults. Repairs are booked and diagnosed on site, not guessed at over the phone.
Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Stirling, while watering days come from the state-wide roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. Quick-draining yellow sand where moisture rarely lingers; frequent short cycles and periodic coverage checks keep growth even across the limestone country. Domestic bores perform well across this sand-plain suburb, and an older bore is often worth servicing rather than abandoning. Bore watering follows the standard 2-day roster and the June-August sprinkler switch-off. Roughly 727mm a year here (Swanbourne), with about 78% of it falling May-September — the long dry rest of the year is why controller programming and coverage checks pay for themselves. Our depot in Jandakot puts Doubleview about 25 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.
We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Doubleview’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Spearwood sands. Yellow Spearwood sand over limestone drains freely, so shorter, more frequent cycles with a wetting agent beat one long soak. The shallow limestone also makes trenching for repairs harder than it looks.
Groundwater & bores. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else.
Rainfall — about 727mm a year. Averages about 727mm a year at the Swanbourne gauge with roughly 78% falling May-September — so the controller should step down through autumn and observe the 1 June - 31 August sprinkler switch-off.

Customer stories from Doubleview
The manifold rebuilt so the right parts would fit
A repair call under a housing maintenance program started the usual way: locate the controller, test the system, see what's really going on. The answer ran deeper than a sprinkler list. The master solenoid and station 1's solenoid had both failed, and the valves were sitting in spotter boxes that had been crushed flat — the kind of thing Doubleview's soft sand and passing traffic do to valve boxes over the years.
The old manifold couldn't take a proper master valve and isolation valve, so rather than patch around it we rebuilt the main solenoid manifold to fit both. Failed solenoids replaced, every valve rehoused in fresh boxes brought flush with the surface, and precision-series nozzles fitted on station 1 to lift the coverage. Then the finishing pass: controller reprogrammed, and every sprinkler adjusted so nothing sprays the road or the driveway. The next tech who lifts those lids will find a system that makes sense.
Getting the nozzles right on a Doubleview system
Not every Doubleview job is a breakage. One system we worked on in 2024 needed less repair than re-matching: the heads were in place, but the nozzle selection across the garden meant different areas were receiving very different amounts of water for the same run time. Our technician replaced and repaired the broken pop-ups first, then worked through the nozzles — conventional nozzles in the garden beds swapped for precision sprays, and 360-degree micro sprays changed to 45s where a full circle was throwing water well past the planting it was meant to cover. The pulled spectrum head at the front hedge was repaired at the same time. Matching nozzle to area is the least visible part of a retic service and one of the most useful: it is the difference between watering the garden and watering the paving beside it.
And week in, week out
One story can't carry a suburb with this much history: 925 jobs completed in Doubleview, 281 of them inside the last two years, and 930+ maintenance visits under commercial facilities and housing maintenance programs. Add 38 residential jobs and the picture is simple — when a Doubleview homeowner calls about a dead station or a flooded verge, odds are we're already nearby.
