A Cloverdale pipe broken under a post
A Cloverdale site had broken pipes and sprinklers that would not run. The first fault our technician found was a broken pipe directly underneath a post — the line feeding station 3 with its water.
That section was cut out and repaired. Pipework under posts and footings is a recurring problem: the post goes in after the reticulation, often without anyone knowing where the pipe runs, and the damage either appears immediately or years later as the post settles.
A second leak was found and repaired at a different location, where the pipework appears to have been compromised by being driven over. Both are third-party damage rather than system failure.
Where retic runs under a driveway, a parking area or anywhere a vehicle can reach, depth and pipe grade matter more than they do in an open garden bed.
