Lowering the micro risers in a Brentwood garden
A Brentwood property needed a leak in the front yard repaired and the controller reset, which our technician did, testing all six stations in the process. The request worth drawing out came from the owner: lower the micro risers (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on).
A micro riser holds a small spray above the planting, and over time gardens change — plants that were small when the riser was set are now established, or the bed has been replanted lower. A riser taller than it needs to be throws spray over the plants rather than onto them, catches on everything, and snaps easily.
Lowering them to suit the current planting improves the watering and reduces the breakages. Micro sprays were replaced where they had failed, and the controller programmed correctly.
