Your local Pearsall reticulation team

Whether it's an older system that's started playing up or a new landscape that needs waterwise coverage from day one, we handle the lot — repairs, servicing, controllers, bores and full installations.

Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Wanneroo, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. We're about 36 km from our Jandakot base, well inside the daily service runs.

We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Pearsall’s soil and water mean for your retic?

Soil — Spearwood sands. Free-draining yellow sand with limestone often close beneath — great drainage, poor moisture holding. Splitting one watering into two cycles inside the same window suits it, and retic trenching can hit caprock.

Groundwater & bores. The superficial aquifer here typically supports domestic garden bores — a big running-cost saving over scheme water for lawns. Note bore users now share the standard 2-days-per-week roster and the 1 June - 31 August switch-off.

Rainfall — about 718mm a year. Averages about 718mm a year at the Perth Metro gauge with roughly 79% falling May-September — so the controller should step down through autumn and observe the 1 June - 31 August sprinkler switch-off.

What kind of retic work do we do in Pearsall?

Between 69+ commercial maintenance visits and our residential call-outs, Pearsall is one of our busiest suburbs. On the tools, that mostly means controller work, servicing & tune-ups and bore & pump work.

From our Pearsall job book

A Pearsall system brought back to standard

A Pearsall job was a straightforward volume of small replacements, which is what a system that has gone a while without attention usually needs. Our technician located the controller, tested the system, then worked through the list: three pop-ups, eight nozzles, three risers (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on), four microjet caps and six microjet nozzles.

The controller was programmed and set to run automatically rather than left on manual. That last detail catches people out.

A system left in manual after previous work will run perfectly whenever someone triggers it and never run on its own, which reads as a fault when the garden starts drying out. Confirming the controller is in auto, with a schedule that suits the season, is part of finishing the job rather than an afterthought.

"Justin arrived promptly and was efficient and thorough in diagnosing the problems with the retic and fixing a blockage. He was very kind and supportive in his approach to the problem of a suspected leak which turned out to be my poor programming of the controller rather than a hole in a pipe."

"We hired Melissa and Gavin (the husband-and-wife dream team!) from Perth Reticulation Experts to fix our long-troubled sprinkler system and do some landscaping, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. After years of ongoing reticulation issues and multiple costly visits from others who couldn’t solve it, Mel, Gavin & the team got everything working perfectly. The landscaping has completely transformed our yard. The lawn looks amazing, and Mel was so lovely and knowledgable in helping me choose plants that suited the style of garden I was after. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the whole job was completed quickly and professionally, with plenty of skilled hands on deck. We’ll definitely be using them again and can’t recommend them highly enough!"

Reticulation Pearsall FAQs

Yes, but get the City's approval first. Pearsall is in the City of Wanneroo. Irrigation pipes and connections shall be laid beneath the nature strip between 150mm and 300mm deep.

Verge rules by council

Generally yes — Pearsall sits over accessible groundwater, which is why garden bores are common here. That said, two neighbouring blocks can differ on yield and iron content, so it's an assessment rather than a given. Bores, pumps and bore-fed retic are all work we do.

Garden bores in Perth

Pearsall sits on Spearwood sands. Water moves through it fast, and the sand can turn water-repellent once it dries out. The most common thing we get booked for in Pearsall is controller work, so that's where the technician starts. The schedule is built around about 10mm on each rostered day — split into two cycles inside the same watering window when the ground won't take it in one.

Perth soil types & watering

The same two-day Water Corporation roster as the rest of Perth — Pearsall is no exception, and bores are on it too. Because the roster keys off your street number, two houses on the same street can be on different days — worth checking rather than copying a neighbour.

Repairs aren't quoted — every system and fault is different, so you book a repair rather than a quote. The technician diagnoses and fixes on site, most faults in the same visit. If a larger job needs parts ordered, we'll tell you the cost before we proceed.
