Your local Wanneroo reticulation team

One call covers everything watering-related: mains reticulation, controllers, solenoids, wiring faults, and bore pumps if your property runs on groundwater.

Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Wanneroo, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. Our depot in Jandakot puts Wanneroo about 39 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.

We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Wanneroo’s soil and water mean for your retic?

Soil — Spearwood sands. Sand over limestone drains rapidly and can turn water-repellent in summer — a wetting agent, plus splitting the run into two shorter cycles inside the same watering window (both before 9am, or both after 6pm), is the standard fix in this belt.

Groundwater & bores. Shallow sandy geology means bores in this area usually deliver reliable garden water; pairing one with well-tuned reticulation keeps large lawns affordable. The 2-day roster and winter ban apply to bore watering too.

Rainfall — about 718mm a year. Averages about 718mm a year at the Perth Metro gauge with roughly 79% falling May-September — so the controller should step down through autumn and observe the 1 June - 31 August sprinkler switch-off.

From our Wanneroo job book

Running new wire across a Wanneroo property

A Wanneroo property had almost all of its solenoid wiring dead — every station bar one. Our technician located the bore pump and all seven solenoids using electronic tracking and manual potholing, then ran a new five-core wire in conduit from station 4 at the edge of the driveway through to valves 6 and 7 at the far end of the property.

The wiring from the controller to the drop-out (where the controller's wiring goes underground) was also replaced and housed in a spotter box (a lidded box at ground level so it can be found again). Running new wire in conduit, rather than repairing the old, is the right call where wiring has failed comprehensively: repairs on degraded multicore tend to hold until the next break, and on a property this size each break is another locating exercise.

The solenoids were replaced and every blocked and broken sprinkler dealt with.

What we actually find in Wanneroo

We've completed 103 jobs in Wanneroo. For this pattern check we read the 6 with the fullest, most recent technician notes — a capped sample, deliberately small and not random. 3 of them involved broken pop-ups and blocked nozzles, against 29% across the 1,781 Perth jobs sampled the same way. It tells our technician what to check first. It is not Wanneroo's fault rate, and we don't publish it as one.

"Justin arrived promptly and was efficient and thorough in diagnosing the problems with the retic and fixing a blockage. He was very kind and supportive in his approach to the problem of a suspected leak which turned out to be my poor programming of the controller rather than a hole in a pipe."

Reticulation Wanneroo FAQs

Yes, but get the City's approval first. Wanneroo is in the City of Wanneroo. Irrigation pipes and connections shall be laid beneath the nature strip between 150mm and 300mm deep. The sprinkler roster is a Water Corporation matter, so it doesn't change at the council boundary.

Verge rules by council

Generally yes — Wanneroo sits over accessible groundwater, which is why garden bores are common here. Depth, yield and iron content still vary block to block, so it's worth assessing rather than assuming. We install, service and repair bores and pumps.

Garden bores in Perth

Wanneroo sits on Spearwood sands. Water moves through it fast, and the sand can turn water-repellent once it dries out. The most common thing we get booked for in Wanneroo is controller work, so that's where the technician starts. We aim for around 10mm on each of your two watering days, and decide on site whether that wants one run or two cycles inside the same window.
