An Erskine property had station 1 down on pressure. Rather than start replacing heads, our technician exposed the main feed and followed the circuit along until the cause turned up: a split in the pipe. It was repaired and the pressure returned. Following a line physically is slower than guessing, and it is the only method that reliably finds a split with no surface evidence. Station 2 needed general maintenance — several nozzles replaced, risers (the upright pipe a sprinkler sits on) straightened and reconnected, since a riser knocked out of vertical throws its water at an angle nobody intended. Station 3 was not working at all and had its solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) replaced. Three stations, three different classes of fault: a pipe, a set of heads, and a valve. That spread is typical, and it is why each station gets tested rather than assumed.

Sand over limestone: what it means for your retic
Soil — Spearwood sands. Well-drained yellow sands over Tamala limestone: water moves through fast, so a properly scheduled controller and soil wetters do the heavy lifting.
Groundwater & bores. This is favourable ground for garden bores — sand all the way to the water table in most streets. Bore-fed retic avoids scheme water charges, though the same 2-day roster and winter switch-off govern when it can run.
