Sand over limestone: what it means for your retic
Soil — Spearwood sands. Yellow Spearwood sand over limestone drains freely, so splitting your watering-day run into two shorter cycles, with a wetting agent, beats one long soak. The shallow limestone also makes trenching for repairs harder than it looks.
Groundwater & bores. This is favourable ground for garden bores — sand all the way to the water table in most streets. Bore-fed retic avoids scheme water charges, though the same 2-day roster and winter switch-off govern when it can run.
Rainfall — about 865mm a year. Local average is ~865mm a year, about 80% of it in the May-September wet season (Halls Head) — reprogram seasonally and switch sprinklers off for the mandatory June-August ban.

Yes, though unirrigated verges are encouraged. Parklands is in the City of Mandurah. Hardstand and semi-permeable treatments including crossovers and footpaths are calculated as a percentage of total verge area, with a 50% hardstand allocation limit for verges.
