A short sleeve and a removed fence panel in South Yunderup
A South Yunderup installation ran into two access problems worth describing, because they are the kind of thing that decides what an installation actually costs. The sleeve under the paving was much shorter than expected, so the paving had to be lifted to find where it ended, then relaid once the pipe was through.
Access to part of the site was restricted enough that a fence panel had to be removed and reinstated to get equipment and materials in. Neither is visible in the finished system.
The master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) and mainline were installed, with the wiring and manifold to follow. A sleeve that stops short of the far edge of a paved area is a common false economy at build time — it saves a metre of pipe and costs a paving lift years later.
