Your local Cottesloe reticulation team
Whether it's an older system that's started playing up or a new landscape that needs waterwise coverage from day one, we handle the lot — repairs, servicing, controllers, bores and full installations.
Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the Town of Cottesloe, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. We're about 15 km from our Jandakot base, well inside the daily service runs.
We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Cottesloe’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Spearwood sands. Well-drained yellow sands over Tamala limestone: water moves through fast, so a properly scheduled controller and soil wetters do the heavy lifting.
Groundwater & bores. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else.
Rainfall — about 727mm a year. Averages about 727mm a year at the Swanbourne gauge with roughly 78% falling May-September — so the controller should step down through autumn and observe the 1 June - 31 August sprinkler switch-off.

From our Cottesloe job book
A Cottesloe wire cut during plumbing work
A Cottesloe system had station 4 not responding, with its wire already removed from the controller. Our technician suspected the field wire had been damaged where a plumber had recently worked, which is where the break turned out to be. It was located and repaired.
A second, smaller problem was found in the process: a nick in the common wire (the shared return wire every valve uses). A nick is not a clean break — the wire still conducts, so the station may work intermittently, or work in dry weather and fail once water gets into the damaged insulation. Those are the hardest wiring faults to diagnose, because the symptom comes and goes.
It was repaired as well. All four stations were then checked, the solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) replaced, and nozzles and risers repaired or replaced across the system.
What we actually find in Cottesloe
We've completed 53 jobs in Cottesloe. For this pattern check we read the 6 with the fullest, most recent technician notes — a capped sample, deliberately small and not random. 3 involved low pressure and poor flow (11% across the 1,781 Perth jobs sampled the same way) and 5 involved mainline leaks and split poly (33%). Counts overlap, because one job can carry both. It is not Cottesloe's fault rate, and we don't publish it as one.
