Your local Henley Brook reticulation team

One call covers everything watering-related: mains reticulation, controllers, solenoids, wiring faults, and bore pumps if your property runs on groundwater.

Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Swan, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. Our depot in Jandakot puts Henley Brook about 35 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.

We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Henley Brook’s soil and water mean for your retic?

Soil — Bassendean sands. Grey Bassendean sand is Perth's most water-repellent soil — water beads and runs off dry patches. Wetting agents plus short, frequent cycles are close to mandatory for an even lawn.

Groundwater & bores. Shallow sandy geology means bores in this area usually deliver reliable garden water; pairing one with well-tuned reticulation keeps large lawns affordable. The 2-day roster and winter ban apply to bore watering too.

Rainfall — about 672mm a year. About 672mm a year (Pearce Raaf), with ~77% arriving May-September — a smart controller with seasonal adjust handles the swing, and winter watering is largely unnecessary even before the ban.

Sleeving under exposed aggregate in Henley Brook

A Henley Brook installation had to get water from the plumber's cut-in at the front of the property through to the back — past an exposed aggregate surface. The answer was a sleeve, installed near the pillar and running through into the lawn.

A sleeve is simply a larger conduit that the irrigation pipe passes through, and putting one in before a hard surface goes down is worth far more than it costs: a future pipe repair or replacement under that surface never requires breaking it up. The mainline and master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) run from the front cut-in through to the rear, with solenoid valves (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) positioned in the lawn area and cable run back to the existing controller.

Gel-filled connectors were used on the wiring joins, which keep moisture out of the connection — the usual cause of buried wiring failure.

What we actually find in Henley Brook

We've completed 77 jobs in Henley Brook. For this pattern check we read the 6 with the fullest, most recent technician notes — a capped sample, deliberately small and not random. 3 of them involved mainline leaks and split poly, against 33% across the 1,781 Perth jobs sampled the same way. It tells our technician what to check first. It is not Henley Brook's fault rate, and we don't publish it as one.

Reticulation Henley Brook FAQs

Yes, no council permission needed. Henley Brook is in the City of Swan. Dial 1100 for Dial before You Dig or go online prior to any works commencing on site.

Verge rules by council

Generally yes — Henley Brook sits over accessible groundwater, which is why garden bores are common here. That said, two neighbouring blocks can differ on yield and iron content, so it's an assessment rather than a given. Bores, pumps and bore-fed retic are all work we do.

Garden bores in Perth

Henley Brook sits on Bassendean sands. That is Perth's least water-retentive sand, and the one most likely to repel water once dry. The most common thing we get booked for in Henley Brook is controller work, so that's where the technician starts. The schedule is built around about 10mm on each rostered day — split into two cycles inside the same watering window when the ground won't take it in one.

Perth soil types & watering

The same two-day Water Corporation roster as the rest of Perth — Henley Brook is no exception, and bores are on it too. The days come from your street number, so neighbours either side of you can differ. We set every controller we touch to the correct days before we leave.

Repairs aren't quoted — every system and fault is different, so you book a repair rather than a quote. The technician diagnoses and fixes on site, most faults in the same visit. If a larger job needs parts ordered, we'll tell you the cost before we proceed.
