Your local Bertram reticulation team
One call covers everything watering-related: mains reticulation, controllers, solenoids, wiring faults, and bore pumps if your property runs on groundwater.
Bertram is a younger suburb — most systems went in with the estates, so warranty-age tune-ups, coverage fixes and controller upgrades lead our work orders here. Verge planting and reticulation rules sit with the City of Kwinana, while watering days come from the Water Corporation sprinkler roster, not the council — worth checking both before any verge retic work. Our depot in Jandakot puts Bertram about 17 km away, comfortably inside our everyday coverage.
We’re a Water Corporation Waterwise Garden Irrigator and an Irrigation Australia member, every job is backed by our workmanship warranty, and we’re rated 4.7 from 230 Google reviews.

What does Bertram’s soil and water mean for your retic?
Soil — Bassendean sands. Leached grey sand with almost no clay or nutrient holding; it turns non-wetting in summer, so soil wetters and a well-programmed controller earn their keep here.
Groundwater & bores. Good bore country: the superficial aquifer is within practical drilling reach under these sands. Watering from a bore costs pumping power rather than scheme rates — with the same 2-day roster and winter ban as everyone else.
Rainfall — about 750mm a year. Annual rain near 750mm and strongly seasonal (~77% May-Sep at Medina Research Centre); the practical schedule is full summer duty, tapering shoulder seasons, sprinklers off 1 June - 31 August.

What kind of retic work do we do in Bertram?
Our Bertram history runs 14 jobs deep, and the pattern is clear: controller work, servicing & tune-ups and leak & pipe repairs lead the list. 8 of those jobs are from the last two years.
From our Bertram job book
1.3 volts, and what it told us in Bertram
A Bertram master valve (the main valve that shuts the whole system off) was replaced, but the more useful part of the visit was a voltage reading. Testing the wire at the solenoid (the electrically-operated valve that feeds one station) gave 1.3 volts — far below what a valve needs to operate, and a number that says something specific: the circuit is not broken outright, because a complete break would read nothing, but something along the run is dropping almost all of the voltage.
That points at a corroded or poorly made join rather than a cut. Our technician stripped the wire back, tested at the nearby station 1 solenoid, deduced there had to be a join between the controller and that valve, located it and remade both the master valve wire and the common.
Three spare wires were also found in the multicore heading to the master valve, worth knowing about for any future fault.
What we actually find in Bertram
Of our 14 Bertram jobs we read the 6 with the fullest, most recent notes — capped, and not a random sample. 3 involved failed solenoids and valve coils, against 23% across the 1,781 Perth jobs sampled the same way. Enough to shape where we start; not enough to call Bertram unusual.
