Groundwater & bores. Bore drilling is generally uneconomic on the plateau's laterite; hills gardens run best on efficient scheme-fed systems with pressure regulation for the slopes.

Local reticulation questions
Not without approval first. Wooroloo is in the Shire of Mundaring.
Groundwater access around Wooroloo is limited, so bores are less common here and often not the right answer. A properly zoned system with matched sprinklers and a modern controller gets excellent results on scheme water instead.
Wooroloo sits on Darling Scarp gravels. On a slope that soil sheds water sideways before it soaks, and there are clay pockets underneath. Your technician confirms the profile on site before programming anything — Wooroloo blocks vary street to street.
Water Corporation sets Wooroloo's sprinkler days: check yours with your street number and postcode. In Perth and Mandurah that's two days a week, once before 9am or after 6pm, bores included; elsewhere the roster can differ. The winter switch-off runs from 1 June to 31 August. After it, the Bureau of Meteorology's Bickley station averages about 122 mm of rain in September and 67 mm in October, well above central Perth's 80 mm, so gardens here stay wetter into spring.
