Foothills soil: mixed ground needs zoned irrigation
Soil — foothills gravels and clay-loams. The Ridge Hill shelf mixes gravel, sand and clay within single blocks; expect uneven drainage and tune each retic zone to its own soil rather than one blanket schedule.
Groundwater & bores. Bore prospects here depend on local clay layers and depth to the water table — some streets drill well, others don't, so a site assessment beats guesswork. If a bore isn't practical, a smart controller and rain sensor cut scheme-water use instead.
Rainfall — about 775mm a year. Annual rain near 775mm and strongly seasonal (~79% May-Sep at Gosnells City); the practical schedule is full summer duty, tapering shoulder seasons, sprinklers off 1 June - 31 August.

Local reticulation questions
Yes, but your landscape plan needs approving first. Brookdale is in the City of Armadale. Synthetic lawns are not permitted in the City of Armadale, as the process of laying them creates an impervious layer. Note that your watering days don't come from the council; that roster is set state-wide.
It depends on your exact spot — groundwater access around Brookdale varies, sometimes street to street. We can assess your block's suitability, and if a bore doesn't stack up, a well-zoned scheme-water system with matched nozzles is the next best water saver.
